#NationalFloridaDay brings us to the Sunshine State. It’s certainly been sunny all year round for 2MyHero sales in Florida.
I’ve shipped military greeting cards to military families with ties to all 5 branches – Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy. Almost every design in the 2MyHero line has shipped to this state!
Florida is home to a whopping 13 military bases! For me personally, perhaps the most noteworthy (and not just because I’ve visited there) is MacDill AFB. It’s a big base and is unusual in that although MacDill is an Air Force Base, it is also home to many Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen.

I had the opportunity to tour MacDill with a fellow Blue Star Mother who was a retired USAF. She was a wonderful guide. She told me one thing that has stuck with me. I’ve heard countless other Airmen talk about this too – the Air Force personnel (active and veteran) love for golf. Many USAF bases have one or more golf courses either on a base or nearby. It’s apparently part of the Air Force culture. Not surprising for the retired and veteran Airmen. I’m pretty sure most retired colonels play golf regardless of their branch of service.
Another fun fact about the wonderful military peeps in Florida is that I have shipped a great many US Coast Guard military greeting cards to customers in this state. Individual and mixed packs, graduation, promotion, and birthday cards have all been ordered for Coastie families residing in Florida.

When the orders for customers in Florida first started rolling in on Amazon in particular, my guess was that these customers were grandparents. But I’ve been proven wrong. I’ve interacted with several customers who are moms and Airmen (or women) who live in this sunny state.
